Hey Austin - appreciate the honest review! The filament used for those stands was the Wood-infused filaments, and while we haven't had smudging issues, it is possible people are using it differently than we are in-house. The 'without the rack' I assume you refer to is referring to the Product image, which admittedly is an old version of the product. The new version you have prevents from unnecessary touch points and works a lot smoother than old models. We should definitely update that. Headyblok is a great maker, glad to see them get supported. Will need to look into smudges issue as that has not been reported before.
