Please note - these tools come pre-oiled to preserve them while stored with us. You must clean this oil off thoroughly before first use.

Care Instructions

Damascus Steel can rust if stored improperly for extended periods of time. To prevent this, take these simple steps to preserve your tool

1. Damascus Steel does best when stored in breathable, dry areas. For this reason, do not store it in the leather sleeve for long periods of time, only use that for transport or putting away temporarily
   
   
2. If you get any oils (don't forget hand oils), liquid or moisture of any kind on the metal, ensure you clean these and dry the metal. Moisture will cause it to rust if left wet.
   
   
3. If rust appears, a little oil and a soft cloth can handle light surface rust. For anything deeper, fine steel wool (0000 grade) with oil, rubbed gently along the grain.
